A Cardiologist Recommends 5 Foods to Avoid for Heart Palpitations

 A study by the Cleveland Clinic found that 16% of patients seek primary care provider aid for palpitations, making it a common reason to see a cardiologist.

1. Alcohol Wine or beer may seem like a peaceful way to conclude the day, but heart palpitations sufferers should avoid it.

2. Caffeine Another stimulant to watch is caffeine. “Just like alcohol, caffeine is a stimulant,” explains Dr. Klodas.

3. Processed Heart palpitations are also affected by diet. Processing foods are a serious concern.

 “Chips, candy, mass-produced baked goods, and microwavable snacks typically contain added sugars, unhealthy fats, and salt,” she says.
