We could spend all day arguing about who has the world's safest food supply.  

But you wouldn't believe how many common American dishes are off-limits in other nations.  

Chemical additives and pesticides are the most common cause, and in some regions,  

such as the European Union, their use cannot be authorized until they are deemed safe.

The preservative butylated hydroxyanisole (BHA) is blamed for its ban in the EU, Japan, and Australia; it is believed to be carcinogenic and to hinder blood coagulation.
